At the same time it is really funny (I really like his show) and shows how misleading the ad campaigns of the oil companies are. As Mashable and Techcrunch report, YouTube had a page up which showed a new embeddable player with ads around it. They have since pulled the page and you are redirected to your account page (or the start page if you’re not a registered user). It seems as if this was not meant to be public just yet. Hopefully we’ll see this come soon, it might be a big chance to make some additional revenue for many people.
This is clearly one of the best ads I have ever seen. ecko unltd., the company which some of you may know for selling clothing mainly targeted at the hip hop demographic, is responsible for this billboard which allows the viewer to put his own graffiti up on the LCD screen of which the ad consists. It works over Bluetooth and is supposed to show the founder’s (Mark Ecko) roots in the graffiti scene.
It is really a great idea in my opinion especially because it will force hordes of people to stand in front of the companies advertisement for a far longer time than they would with a normal ad.
